Spiritual Ritual

Daily witchcraft & spiritual practices are ways that we can slow down, and take the opportunity to be present with our mind, body and spirit.

A daily witchcraft or spiritual practice is a routine of things that you do every day in service of your personal evolution.

There are many ways to create a spiritual practice.  I am going to share with you my personal spiritual practice of witchcraft so that you might feel inspired to incorporate these rituals into your own practice.

There is a common misconception that a spiritual practice is love and light work.

And while this is one aspect, witchcraft and spiritual practice is just as much about shadow work as light work. The goal of shadow work is to learn to love ourselves, warts and all. The goal of light work is to trust that we are celestial beings and the universe is looking out for us. Both light work and shadow work are tools of awakening. It is the integration of light and dark that helps us ascend and become our highest selves.

Here is my witchcraft practice:

✷ Start by cleansing your altar

✷ Light a candle, incense or diffuse essential oils

✷ Take 5 deep diaphragmatic breaths and start your routine with intention.

✷ Cleanse  your energy with a selenite wand, broom or sustainable smudge stick

✷ Set your intention for the day

✷ Say your positive affirmations aloud (Speak Spells)

✷ Pull a 3 card tarot spread to connect with the divine

✷ Journal out the imagery of the cards and sit with their messages.

✷ Perform freeform writing in a journal for 10 minutes. Use this to review your tarot pull,  to write out emotions,  shadow work and ground thyself.

✷ If astrology is your thing, you can also look at your natal chart or read your notifications from the Chani Nicholas App (the only app I condone for astrology)

✷ Utilize crystal energy by holding or meditating with a crystal of your choosing

✷ Meditate for 5-15 minutes. (Headspace App is great for beginners)

✷ Make a list of things you are grateful for

✷ Go outside, commune with nature

Now that you have some basics to start with, make a commitment to yourself to uphold your daily practice.

“I _______ plan to tend to my highest self by participating in my witchcraft or spiritual practice each morning. I will strive to do this a minimum of ____ times a week. I am enhancing and healing these areas of my life: ________. I honor the desires of my heart through consistency.”

It’s the consistency part, tho. In every aspect of life.

Already have a great witchcraft or spiritual practice, maybe it’s time to book a service for a transformative experience.
